SUBMIT

Submit your cat-themed creative work to our inaugural issue.

We are currently seeking:

  • short stories (any genre, up to 5,000 words)

  • poetry (submit up to five poems at a time)

  • artwork (no A.I. artwork, please)

  • non-fiction, interviews, reviews, etc.

  • other cat-centric works

We are open to any high-quality cat-related creative works. Our only non-negotiable is nothing cruel or abusive can happen to the cats featured in the piece. Most of us get enough of the sad stuff. We want lighthearted, humorous, and fun.

And while we’re mostly interested in nothing bad happening to the cats, we also do not care to read or print any work in which human companions endure extremely graphic physical violence, sexual violence, or bullying. Those kinds of works just do not fit with our journal’s aesthetic.

We ask for First North American Serial Rights for the print journal and non-exclusive worldwide electronic rights for our electronic journal. We will consider reprints as long as your submission is clearly marked as such and you own the rights to the work.

We anticipate two issues a year: a winter issue released in January and a summer issue released in July.

We accept simultaneous submissions. HOWEVER, PLEASE WITHDRAW YOUR WORK IF IT IS ACCEPTED ELSEWHERE.
